About us

Hodder Studio is the creative home of Manfred and Grace Hodder. We share a love of the natural world, of the landscapes we've lived in, and of making things by hand. This is where we share our work.

Born in Speyer, Germany, Manfred (Mannie) Hodder began selling his paintings in his youth. Over the years he has worked as a graphic artist and silk screen printer, and he ran his own business. He also spent many years working in art therapy, using creative practice to support healing and self-expression. Mannie loves to experiment with media and techniques, and he infuses his work with a deep joy in the natural world. He draws inspiration from the landscapes of his life, the many places he has lived across Europe and Canada, and the scenery that has shaped him along the way.
